According to the FTC BIOBUZZ Competition Manual TU05, a STRATEGIC action is one that is done with the aim of gaining a competitive advantage.
STRATEGIC describes actions that are deliberate or reckless with foreseeable consequences. Accidental or unforeseeable occurrences cannot be STRATEGIC.
The manual provides guidelines for determining if an action is STRATEGIC, including:
* Is the action aimed at gaining a competitive advantage?
* Is the action deliberate or reckless?
* Does the action have foreseeable consequences?
* Is the action repeated or continued after the concern becomes apparent?
Additionally, Team Update 00 provides more information on STRATEGIC actions, including examples of what may be considered STRATEGIC and what may not.
It's also important to note that the determination of whether an action is STRATEGIC is made by the REFEREES, and their decision is based on the specific circumstances of the MATCH.
